From Central station, we just walked towards the Peak Tram terminus. Along the way, we passed Statue Square featuring the statue of Sir Thomas Jackson. Normally it's a 10-minute walk from the MTR station to the tram terminus, and as you can see from the picture on the right, you can just follow the signs.
At the terminus, we bought a Peak Tram Sky Pass - a 2-in-1 ticket for the peak tram and the Sky Terrace. The peak tram ride was quite steep but not really scary. There are a lot of leaves and branches, I think I felt every bump along the way, but in general it was quite an experience.
But nothing compares to the view when we reached the top. We headed directly to the Sky Terrace to see Hong Kong from above.
Of course, Sky Terrace isn't the only place that you can see at the Peak. There's also the Peak Tower and places where you can rest or take more pictures.
Our Peak Tram Sky Pass included a return ticket back to the peak tram terminus, so we went back down, but since the seats are facing towards the peak, we were on our backs going down. Once we reached the terminus, we rode the bus going to the Star Ferry pier, which is Bus 15C. From the bus stop, we had to find the actual pier for Star Ferry (there were many piers) and bought tickets to Tsim Sha Tsui.
Views while in the Star Ferry |
Just a little walk from the Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry pier is the Avenue of Stars - Hong Kong's version of the walk of fame.
To cap of our day, we watched the Symphony of Lights - staged every night at 8:00PM, where lights of the buildings across the Avenue of Stars "dance" with the music. We're already back at the TST area, thus ending our loop for that day.
Note: I didn't include fares and ticket prices because this trip happened more than a year ago, and while I was writing this, I checked the prices and they are now different. To be sure, you may check the following links:
